Is it the words in the Bible that convict our heart?

Or is it the power of the Holy Spirit that dwells within us?

For if it was but mere words..then why am I not an Atheist any longer, for I have read Richard Dawkins..The Chariot of the Gods..

All after I asked Jesus into my heart..

So which is it?

What you read?

What you learned?

Or what is inside of you?

Thank-you All for your answers..

With Love..In Christ.. :o)

Without the Holy Spirit helping you understand, the bible would not have meaning to you. Lots of people read the bible and never understand and are never saved and lots of people get saved without the bible. The bible is the written word of God, but Jesus is the living word of God. The counselor the Holy Spirit gave you insight to understand what highly educated people often completely miss.
God Bless. Jesus loves you.

It is the words in the bible:

Hebrews 4:12 (King James Version)

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

This says it all I think.

Your converting to christianity does not make the bible true. You cite no reason as to why its words should be regarded as true. What I have read does not convince me at all - the only thing I have learned is that the world would be better without christianity.
