What are your favorite.. And is the possible?

What are your favorite horse books. Not the little club ones, informational ones.
And, would it be possible to be completely ready for a County Fair the last week August.
Now a little more about the second question. I've done any shows fairs gymkhanas etc. But I've help my friends. And my horse I'm pretty sure he has never done anything. About him: Breed;Unknown Age;12-14. Behavior: Easy ride to ride smooth gaits. Spooks at silly things, but we get over it and move on. I'd want to do the gymkhana with typical gymkhana events, the costume contest, trail course, and maybe a western pleasure. I'd be getting help from many people which have experience with this. I'm slowly bringing him back into work after that long winter. I know I would be able to do this but I just want some reassuring ya know?
Thanks :D

The Horse Encyclopedia and one of my college text books called The Horse by Jay Georgi, R. P. Hackett, John Lowe, Gary Potter, and B. F. Yeates.

I think if you work enough at it sure :)

Second Question: if I can be ready for my first show EVER in my 20 years of life, and my horse has been ridden only ONCE since last summer, by next sunday... i think you'll be ready for an august show :)

I've got "Complete Book of Horses and Riding' by Judith Draper, Debby Sly, Sarah Muir. :) It's very informative.
