Please give your reasons not just the guy you like cause he throws for your favorite team. I would have to say it's a close one between Brady and Rodgers. Not sure how much of Brady's success is from having one of the most solid O-line ever to lace up some cleats. And throw in Coach Hobo and I think other QB's might have had similar success (Matt Cassel). However stats don't lie. 50 tds and 8 int's with 4800 yards in 08. This was hands down the best season ever recorded for a QB. Toss in 3 rings and he has a good case.
Aaron Rodgers still has doubters out there, not sure why. I can't think of any other QB in the league right now that has a more complete skill set. The guy has the prettiest deep ball I've seen in a long time. He is mobile and accurate. He is also tough as hell ( NFC Championship game and the lick he took on the side of the helmet by Peppers ) He has all the intangibles as well. I think he will eventually get as many rings as Brady in the future

right now is aaron rodgers, just because he can run out of the pocket and throw some damn good balls. people say brady now, but aaron rodgers and the packers may be the next dynasty team, rodgers is still young. and so are the packers
First of all i'm a Houston Texans fan and it pains me to say this but Peyton Manning is hands down the best QB in the league. You ask why? Tom Brady has Bill Belichick one of the best offensive coordinators. When Tom Brady got injured a few seasons ago Matt Cassel stepped in and he got like 8-2 ratio. Enough said. What else is that Patriots have a better D so that lifts more pressure off Brady. Peyton also does all the press conferences for the Colts no one cares about Jim Caldwell's opinion they just care about Peyton's. Peyton runs his offence, Tom Brady doesn't. Peyton is the best at no huddles. He ain't 4-Time MVP FOR NO REASON.
The QB is still Peyton Manning and WILL BE Peyton Manning until he retires. He's up there with the best of all time definitely. People say Manning had a bad season last year - yeah leading the whole league in passing yards is horrendous.. (sarcasm).
If you want other QBs that are "Elite" it would be Rivers, Rodgers, Brady and Drew Brees.
The sleepers are Michael Vick, Matt Schaub, Matt Ryan, Eli Manning and Josh Freeman. (I don't rate Ben Roethlisberger).
By today you mean the latest season? Brady. The man made a Rookie TE have the most TDs for a TE ever. Throwing 4 ints and completing 66 percent of his passes while throwing for almost 4000 yards is insane. Rodgers is someone who I think will lead the next generation of QBs(Rivers,Roethlisberger, Romo). Rodgers had a very good Receiving corps to throw to, and Brady had welker, and a couple Rookie TEs.
@Quincy, I just wanted to say Brady and Manning are not the past, they are going to play at a high level for next 3-4 years. And sanchez and newton(Unproven rookie who's likely to bust) over Ryan, Flacco, Freeman, and Bradford? Haha.
1)Peyton(playing at a high level for 12 years straight, even after Harrison left, Wayne got old and the running game was worst in the leauge the last few years) 2)Brady(very consistent, better now than when he won his Super Bowls, but too many short tosses) 3)Brees(super accurate, laser arm and makes the Saints competitive even though their not a great team...kind of like the Colts) 4)Rodgers(you could argue him higer, but he hasn't played long enough...teams don't has as much film on him but he's no doubt the most athletic of this group) 5)Philip Rivers(WAY underrated qb who can make any throw and put up huge numbers)
The qb of today would have to be Aaron Rodgers because of his great season and winning the superbowl. In my opinion, Brady and Manning represent qbs of the past and are now not the only two qbs you hear in the top plays of qbs of the week. For the future the top qbs might be Sanchez or newton.
