Peace corps type associations for non-citizens?

I want to volunteer abroad and help under developed regions but I am not a US citizen. Does anyone know of an association like peace corps that offers long term volunteering, and where I don't have to pay for all of my expenses and training? I still don't have my college degree yet (which is a prerequisite for most programs like this) but i want to volunteer as soon as I'm done with my education. Thanks for your help :D

Hey there....if you are volunteering, you have to pay for your own expenses. If someone else paid for your expenses then it would be considered a job...so unfortunately you wont be able to find any organizations that pay everything for you. I'd suggest saving up money and then going abroad for volunteer work. That being said, just don't pay an organization that charges you too much money. For example, anything over 2,000 per month in a developing country is too much. Go with cheaper companies! I personally went through Leave UR Mark which I find to be on the cheaper end of the scale. http://www.leaveurmark.com Good luck!

you may inspect VSO, yet maximum places want college graduates because of the fact they want experienced human beings, not people who're merely seeking to "help out" of their spare time, even no remember if it somewhat is a year. Their aim is to coach human beings; to try this, you want people who're already experienced and/or knowledgeable. you additionally can ask around on your community. A year is an prolonged time, and that's poossible you may create your person internship style place. Ask the Humanity human beings you be responsive to. they could can element you.
