Firstly, I apologize that this is going to be really long, but the tips I put in are really important to know.
That's great that you're going!
Disney World is awesome and so much fun! You should definitely look forward to all the mountains in Magic Kingdom:
Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain.
Those three are very popular and a lot of peoples' favorite rides and mine's too.
The Haunted Mansion is really cool! It might be scary for your sister though, I thought it was scary and I avoided it for years, but I rode it and I absolutely loved it! It's really awesome!
Soarin' and Test Track in Epcot.
Test Track is definitely one of my favorite rides! I love it so much!
Star Tours, Rock 'n' Rollercoaster in Hollywood Studios. I would also say Tower of Terror, but I will never ride that because it's a drop ride.
Expedition Everest and the It's a Bug's life in Animal Kingdom. I remember going into Bug's Life and it scared the crap out of me, but I loved it.
There are many other rides, but those are the ones you should definitely be looking forward to.
For expectations, Disney World is really amazing,
it definitely lives up to the quote "The happiest place on Earth".
You really forget about all your worries there and you have to much fun!
It's really an adventure.
Now for tips
There are a lot of things to know about Disney.
First is to get Fast Passes. Fast Passes are passes you use to skip lines at a lot of the rides.
It is free and it comes with all of your Park tickets.
Unfortunately, you can only use one of your tickets each for one ride. You can't go to maybe Soarin' and get one and then go to Test Track and get one right after.
They don't allow you until a certain time.
On the pass it tells you what times you can come back and then you can go back later and skip the lines! I say the Fast Passes are definitely needed for the mountains, Peter Pan, Soarin', Test Track, Rock 'n' Rollercoaster and Expedition Everest.
Here are some strategies that I have found effective every time I go to the parks, which is every year.
Go to the parks very early. It will be cool and the lines will be shorter.
Also get a fast pass for a ride at that time, especially either Space Mountain, Soarin' or Test Track.
Because those Fast Passes will sell out before 12. I would really get the first one for Soarin'.
That one is the longest wait time I've ever seen in Disney, 120 minutes! And maybe longer.
I would maybe get out of the parks around 11 or 12 and go back when the sun is setting.
Because it gets blazing hot during the days. This really only should be for Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios because Animal Kingdom and Epcot close down at 9, but Magic Kingdom stays open until 1 and Hollywood 10.
Plus, this tip will really help you out,
go on the rides when the parades and the fireworks are going off.
Because the lines will be 5 to maybe 25 minutes which is more than half what the normal wait time are for rides. If you're lucky, the rides you get on outside, you might get to be on the ride while the fireworks are going off and that is a great experience to have!
I've ridden Big Thunder Mountain and 2 times that has happened to me and it was so much more fun than a normal ridding experience!
If you want the same experience, get over to Frontierland and watch the light parade.
Then right when it finishes head over to Big Thunder Mountain. By the time you get on the ride, the fireworks will be going on.
It's a lot of fun and we were "Woo!"ing the whole time we were on the ride.
Also, after the fireworks, trying to exit out of Magic Kingdom is seriously crazy. It takes you like a good hour to get on the monorail and then waiting on line to get a tram back to your car is ridiculous!
Just stay in the park for maybe an hour later and then go to get out. Trust me, don't try to get out right after the fireworks. You will be crushed on the monorail and skipped in line waiting for the tram.
Those are all the expectations, tips and what you should be looking forward to!
Have fun! :)

At Disney, it doens't matter how old you are, it will be just MAGICAL! Disney is the happiest place on the face of the earth, and all I can say is you will have the time of your life. There are rides intended for the little kids such as Winnie the Pooh, rides for families such as Small World, and high power thrill rides like Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain etc. However, you will find that you will have just as much fun on the thrill rides as on the kid rides. Don't worry about anything. You WILL have fun.

Yeah, because there is everything for everyone in the family! There are thrill rides in disney world that are really fun and in magic kingdom there is a place for girls 6 and under where u can get a makeover and become a disney princess. In the 4 disney parks the thrill rides are: Splash mountain, space mountain, big thunder mountain in Magic Kingdom, in hollywood studios, Tower of terror, rock n roll roller coaster, toy story mania (fun ride) Lights camera action (fun show), in Animal kingdom, Expedition everest, dinosaur, and in epcot, test track, mission space, soaring.
