A/C nightmare, please help.?

My cars a/c compressor stopped working last year, so ive gotten it replaced.
The first compressor i had it replaced with burned out or malfunctioned (remanufactured). So i got a replacement for it.

Now when im driving the air went sort of warm, then back to cold, this repeated two more times. Im assuming this compressor is probably going to burn out again like the previous replacement.

What could cause compressors to pre-maturely malfunction if possible?
Air going warm to cold and repeating be a symptom of another problem?

This doesn't sound like a compressor problem. This could be caused by a lot of things, including a faulty control unit, faulty servo controlling the blend door, bad vacuum connection, etc.

In most cases when you do an a/c job it is recommended to replace the following Drier, office tube, expansion valve o-rings etc.. An completely vacuum down the system for a minimum of 30 minute.. DIY A/C repair can be a pain a$$, I would recommend taking your car to a reputable shop that is very knowledgeable with A/C repair.

It sounds as if the pump is cycling on and off. What size engine do yuou have in your car? Small engines will shut the compressor off in order to give the engine more power to the tranny.
