What did I do? I tried a home bikini wax!?

I made a homemade sugar wax and attempted a bikini wax for the first time. It didn't even work and I immediatley had very dark splotches. I think they are bruises, but try are hideous and huge. They are purple and very dark. The skin isn't damaged. Will they go away? How long will it take. It is the first day of summer out of school and I'm not even going to be able to wear a swim suit :(. I am icing them right now. Thanks

The splotches surprise me.  You don't say what you put in the homemade wax, but it's unusual that you would react to normal cooking ingredients, like sugar.

It sounds like you had an allergic reaction to some ingredient you used.

I would see a doctor.  Take a list of everything you put in the wax.

I doubt this is serious, but you really should have a doctor look at the splotches, just the same.
