Would this be a jerk move? (Tattoo related)?

I tried to schedule a tattoo appointment for next Wednesday, but as it turns the artist i scheduled it with is needed out of town that Wednesday, So he suggested I just re-schedule with a different artist (he's a nice guy)

I have a relatively busy schedule that will not allow me to physically go into the studio until Wednesday but obviously i dont wanna pop in Wednesday on short notice, so my plan is to send out an email to the remaining artists, and see whose interested and available to do my tattoo.

I feel like that would be very impersonal though, and somewhat dickish. what do ya think?

I don't think that's dickish, you're kind of put in a difficult spot with it anyhow.
I'd call though, that seems more personal. Just call and explain that you'd like to have gone in but you just don't have the time, and ask them who is available to do it

No thats fine, I would give them a ring though.
Just say you had an appointment with 'insert guys name' but he has to be out of town, but you wont be able to get any time off work on a dif day so is anyone else free to do it then

Don't email. It's not a dick move really, but a lot of the time people don't check their email all that regularly. It's likely that they'd miss it. Instead, just call the shop.
