Possibly as a middle name? (I'm not pregnant, just wondering) I'm not usually a fan of made-up variations, but I love the name Jezebel. However, the dictionary definition ("wicked, shameless woman") would kind of prevent me from using it for a child one day. Jessabel has a similar sound without the meaning. Thoughts?

I like Jessabel for a girl .. Very unique.. and an elegant sort of name :))
In the Bible Jessabel (spelled differntly) was a Harlot (Whore, Prostitute, Slut) that convinced Samson to stray from the right path. Even if you are not religeous, that name is generally assosiated with a woman of ill-repute. Example: "That Jessabel stole my man"
Just because you change the spelling of the word does not mean you change its meaning. Colour and corlor; tyre and tire all mean the same thing even though their spelling is the same. Plus, no one would say to themselves after hearing the name, "Oh, the spelling is different, it must be OK"
