Can a sex offender work as a bank teller?

I know that there are many strong negative feeling towards them, and I'm not looking for personal opinions. I'm just wondering if from a legal/company policy stand point if in the state of new york can a sex offender work as a bank teller?

I'm adding this after reading one of the comments. People with sex crimes are not all rapists and baby snatchers. You can become registered for a wide, wide variety of things. Also its people like you (you know who you are) that create fear and panic among the general public. SORA, although well intended, was the worse thing to happen to the justice system. It back logs cases, wastes time an resources in the situation of a kidnapping or rape (cops have to go talk to every single registered sex offender's home and question them and the severe majority of the time none of them are at all involved.) not to mention when people like you focus so intently on the monsters outside you don't even see the monsters you invited into your house. The majority of sex crimes are committed by friends and family members of the victims. Its also important to note several reports show sex offenders have the lowest rate of recidivism.

The hiring manager at a bank would not hire a registered sex offender for any position. Banking is a very conservative profession and a thorough background check is done on each and every individual that is being considered for the job. When choosing between an applicant who is registered as a sex offender and one who isn't, it's a very easy choice. A registered sex offender would be automatically rejected. A registered sex offender will find it difficult to get a job anywhere.

Yes, they are dealing with money and adults. As long as they are around more people less likely they are to get involved in something like raping someone. A Sex Offender is a rapist!!!!! Just be careful who your around you never know.
