Why do some lesbians dress like men?
Don't get me wrong, I'm a lesbian too, but I just don't understand why a girl who likes girls and wants girls who like girls to like her, as a girl, would dress up as a man!

It's preference, preferences dont need excuses or reasons because it's preferences, I can't ask you "Why do you like blue colour" because I will just look idiot.

There are several different reasons. Some lesbians are just more comfortable in mens clothing. My girlfriend is very butch. She was never the kind to wear makeup or dresses, she's very petite and curvy so its more comfortable for her to wear mens jeans and baggier shirts to hide some of that. I think its super hot, I've always liked the more butch girls.
Some lesbians go further and feel that they are in the wrong body. I have a very good friend that is trans and the struggle she goes thorugh everyday is heartbreaking. She honestly feels like a man, she gets depressed when she has a period, she binds down her chest, even presents herself as a man.
Hopefully that helped a little. :-)

This coming from a straight lad, but I figured it is because some tend to be a little rebellious towards general standards. I´m ticked off too by prejudice, so I can see how some lesbians with that mindset just want to give society the big finger back.
Don´t get me wrong on that, I´ve nothing against lesbians or anything, but.. well, just my two cents.
Also, I´m not entirely sure if it´s just a lesbian thing.. more women/girls tend to as well. Thinking George Sand here.

Ya like others said, it's a preference.
But let me add, your life should not be centered in pleasing others, and getting others to be attracted to you.
If you want to dress masculine, but dress feminine just to attract other girls because you're a lesbian, then that's kind of pathetic.
Plus, who said dressing like a girl makes you a man? They're still women, they still identify as women. Many lesbian women LIKE masculine dressing women, and many lesbian women just don't care HOW you dress, they care about the person.
Just remember that you shouldn't dress a certain way just to attract someone or be in a relationship.

It's a prefrence. Some woman choose to cross-dress, because that's what makes them comfortable. Same reason why some men cross-dress. But I don't think it has anything to do with sexuality.
