Windows 7 service pack update invalidates my copy of Windows?

I used a WGA removal tool when I first installed a copy of windows and everything worked fine until I recently installed an update to service pack 1. Now Windows has reactivated the time bomb. So do service pack updates cause my windows to invalidate and would running that WGA removal tool again work to remedy this problem?

Just ring Microsoft.  They will sort out the problem.  There's no real need to remove WGA anyway.  Yes, it's annoying, but it doesn't do any harm to legitimate installations.
