Not real silver. They produced silverplate. I called a local silver dealer to ask if that had any bullion value since silver is at $35 an ounce today. He said that it has no silver value (that would be enuf to interest him).

There are several websites offering H&T Mfg. flatware today. One place is selling individual spoons for $8 apiece. Another site called rubylane.com ( i don't work for them and they are free to visit) sells antique stuff. An 8 piece flatware setting by H&T just sold for $80.

So even tho your flatware does not have silver value, it does have collector value.

Generally, silverware is silver or contains some silver/silver plating. Flatware is made of other metal, like steel, and contains no silver, that's why it is not called silverware in the first place. You need to check with the manufacturer to see if they claim their flatware is silver and what percentage.
