Have you ever seen a Catholic website say something untrue about another church?

I have seen so many "Christian" websites that spread lies about the Catholic faith. Have you ever seen a Catholic site that spreads lies about other churches?

The National Catholic Reporter is not a Catholic site. They advocate, among other things, ordination of women and pro-choice positions.

No. Catholic websites typically provide Catholic doctrine without even discussing the doctrines of others. In instances where Catholic websites do discuss protestant views, they at least adequately and correctly present the other view.

But it's very easy to find Fundy sites filled with false witness and anti-Catholic SPAM. Some are so bad, you can't even find a core doctrine other than a doctrine of hatred.

As an example.
Note Fundies correctly show that comparing Jesus to Horus and comparing Mary to Isis is utter nonsense.

Yet when discussing Catholic Christianity, this same Fundy website contradictorily embraces this same utter nonsense when it re associates Mary with Isis. They go on to compare Christian communion (the Eucharist) to the drinking of the blood of a bull in Mithraism. This is truly unethical behavior. I would never trust this website.

@ CINO, I've been to Catholic.com. I see no lies being spread there. You've given no examples, but the best you can come up with is the forum section? Get real.

Yes, I especially avoid the ones that spread lies about Catholics they disagree with. Some of the popular ones even ban certain topics such as Marian apparitions and associated prophecies and "Centering Prayer" a popular form of prayer that annoys those nutty about New Age religions.

New Age religions and many of the Restorations Christianities are not-so-subtly dissed.

just google Catholic websites and do a search for "Marian prophecy", "new age", or the like. Avoid about.com, they are just an ad harvester and pay Google to put them on the top of the list. Most of the intolerant sites diss LDS. It makes me laugh, because of the historical discrimination against us Catholics.

Nope I have seen individuals spread stuff but generally Catholic's don't have the same hatred as some Church's seem to have for us. The catholic Church doesn't need to spread lies to prove their truth. where as thats how some other organizations seem to do it.

No never. And never have I heard anyone in the Catholic Church speak against our Protestant brothers and sisters in Christ. But growing up as a Protestant, I heard it all the time from the ministers and pastors of the protestant churches I attended speak badly about the Catholic Church. I realized later in life that they were speaking lies about the Catholic Church.
