tenant broke lease and has his girlfriend living here. Is it illegal for her to open my mailbox?

the mailbox is shared with the tenant. but he signed the lease stating that i would need written consent for anyone else to occupy the residence. is it illegal for her to be opening my mailbox? i have a witness of her opening my mailbox. if he did not authorize her to check the mailbox does this make it illegal?

it's his mailbox too, not just yours. he can just say I authorized her. beside it is his girlfriend who lives with him, so I guess it would be hard case to prove she violated a law. is she opening your letters though? and if not, why you are trying to make problem out of this? let's not nitpick
