What Mac computer is good for film making with Final Cut?

This question was asked before but the answers are not very good. I am looking to buy my first mac to use for film editing and run final cut pro X on it. Which mac computer is best for this software? Price is not an option (not interested in refurbished computers). Thanks for your serious replies.

It really depends on where do you want to work...
If you want a stationary computer (desktop) than go with the iMac 27". It has a huge and very high detailed screen, Firewire and Thunderbold ports (they're used for really fast transfer speed) and with pretty high and good specs. If you want a cheaper computer you could go with the iMac 21.5",as it should work just as fine. But since your using it for video editing. I'm pretty sure you would want the biggest screen possible (iMac 27").
But if your looking for a portable computer that you should go with either a 15" or 17" Macbook Pro. As it has very high specs and long battery life, and a really big screen (for a laptop at least). They both have firewire and thunderbolt and a very robust and reliable due to the Aluminium unibody enclosure it has. Plus it looks really nice.
Hope i helped =)

Ok. If you want a laptop, I would recommend a higher end 17" MacBook pro. Of you are using a desktop, I would suggest an iMac (27") with hopefully 8GB of RAM. if you want the tower or power (Mac Pro) I would wait a couple of weeks as they are due to be updated soon, but the iMac and MacBook pro were updated earlier this year and should be fine for final cut pro x videos.

Have fun!
