Uniblue Systems: Uniblue Registry Booster. I downloaded this program, but am now doubtful about installing it.?
Have any community members had any experience with this program? Is it really necessary for "fixing up Microsoft Registries?" Any comments on this program are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The registry does need "fixing", "boosting" or "cleaning". All Uniblue and other registry programs do is look for obsolete entries or data in the registry (like references to files or programs that are no longer on your computer). They call these obsolete entries "errors" implying there is something to fix. That's bs. These programs don't and can't fix anything. Fixing would mean making a correction...editing. All registry cleaners do is delete these entries. Doing this does not speed up or improve your computer. It's basically a little bit of pointless house-cleaning. You also run the risk of screwing up your computer by using registry cleaners...they all have the potential to delete something important. Registry cleaning...boosting is just a gimmick for people that don't understand what the registry is and how it's used.
