La Isabella erected in 1493 (January 06) La Navidad was not in this place, Navidad was located in what
is now called Haiti.

Actually, he built a fortress in Puerto Plata called La Navidad which was later destroyed. He built another fort named La Isabella which was the start of the settlement of Puerto Plata. After a couple of hurricanes C.C. moved to Santo Domingo.

He didn't HAVE A HOUSE until the THIRD VOYAGE in 1498 and it was on Hispaniola. The WHITE HOUSE in San Juan was built for PONCE DE LEON when he was named governor. If Columbus DID have a 'house' it would have been nothing more than a shack near one of the forts

At that time, people in the Caribbean DIDN'T LIVE IN HOUSES because THAT IS TOO EUROPEAN and was NOT DONE in the late 15th century in the Caribbean.. BY ANYONE
