Melatonin for help sleeping?

I have trouble sleeping when I know I have to be up early the next morning.
I toss and turn and keep looking at the clock.
Are melatonin supplements a good or bad idea.
I want the lowest dose possible, and then only take half.

It helps me sleep, but you may not get the same results. Melatonin has not been shown to have negative side effects even at doses hundreds of times what our own bodies produce.

I take 3 MG pills an hour before I go to bed, but I'm sure half of that would work as well.

5 grams per night is safe enough
