how do i program my tomtom for canada ?

I'm driving to Nova Scotia, Canada next week, and I want to program my Tomtom, but I can't find "Tools", to change from the States to Canada.

There won't be anything under Tools. It sounds like your GPS is loaded with only US data. You will have to upgrade it to North American (or at least US & Canada).

What model # is it?..It seems to me most Tomtoms come with basemaps for the US,Canada and Mexico.
