Why when I put a hashtag in my Facebook status, it is not tweeted?

I have my accounts connected. It also used to work for me a while back, but not now....??!?? Anyone have any help on this subject?

I am not trying to tag people....

Example:

Facebook Status: I hope everyone loves #summer!

Before when I would do this on my FB status, it would be tweeted, but now, nothing....

facebook anit like twitter its complety diffrent If ur trying to tag someon face book basic ly put this in ur @ then satrt typein ur friends name
