What animal is easier to take care of?

A gineau pig or a ferret?
I am looking for a new pet since my hamsters died of a terrible sickness and I need to know what animal is best for me and easy to take care of.
Thank you.
If you have any other animal, suggestions please share.

:( about your hamster. That's very sad.

Although I love ferrets, a guinea pig is definitely easier to care for. Ferrets are very different from most other small pets. Whislt a cage is good as a safe refuge, they really need a lot of exercise space in the house, which means ferret-proofing some rooms. They are incredible escape artists and you need to check all eletrical appliances before turning them on to make sure a ferret is not hiding inside (dishwashers, microwaves, washing machines etc). They are also big chewers.
Ferrets are amazing animals, but they are a huge commitment.

Guinea pigs are not in the same league as ferrest in terms of fun and intelligence, but they are sweet and enjoy cuddles. They do smell a bit though, as do ferrets.

If you are looking for a compromise between the two, a pair of rats would be perfect. Intelligent and comical, like ferrets, they are also really sweet and love to be held, and can stay in cages with just an hour of free-range time per day. :)

Good luck finding the right pet for you. Remember that the set-up for rats, guinea pigs or ferrets is expensive and vet bills are a factor to consider. :)

A Guinea pig is, in my opinion, way easier to take care of than a ferret. Although ferrets are more interesting as far as personality goes, guinea pigs can be fun too. Ferrets typically smell much more than guinea pigs can. That might be something to consider. Ferrets also end up being more expensive to care for too. There is much literature on the care of both pets. Here are two links to get you started:

Hope this helps! Good Luck and happy homecoming to whichever pet you decide!

Ferrets are very vicious they bite, they don't like human company and they STINK!
Guinea pigs are cute but after a while they get so boring, they also smell too

If your looking for a rodent that is not afraid of humans, easy to bond with, cute, extremely intelligent and clean I suggest you get a rat they are such loving fun creatures most people think 'ew who would want a pet rat!' but rats are just as clean as cats or dogs, but sadly their reputation is ruined by the ugly looking wild rat. Pet rats male great companions and once they trust you they will happily sit on your shoulder as you eg. Watch tv, do homework or walk around they are always curious and wondering what your doing. I can't wait to see the day they become common house hold pets.

If you want to know more type up pet rats in google or watch some videos about them on YouTube, you won't be disappointed

I think a guinea pig is easy to take care of the thing is you have to get 2 of them or else it will get bored i think ferrets are a little bit harder to take care of then a guinea pig and if a ferret get sick it cost a big vet bill but guinea pig don't really get sick with proper care so i whould get a guinea pig

I have four Guinea Pigs, and man do they STANK! :D Their cute indeed, but a ferret is much easier to take care of than a Guinea Pig.
