an 05 will be a newer computer and may be in your best interest to have a GM dealer plug a Tech2 into it to see if all the parameters are correct and no fault codes were stored. The module may just need re-programmed. If not, they can plug it into an A/C work station and know why it's not working. Most GM techs can find your problem very quickly.

lets jump to the basics before we try anything complicated here.....

have you checked its belt?
even with sepertine belts the AC system still commonly has a belt of its own. and its not uncommon for that belt to get ignored when changing the important belt that drives your alternator and cooling and everything else.
i didnt even realize my 00 chevy had a seperate belt for the AC when i changed the other one, and at about 110k my AC just quit on me......

if its not the basics, even somebody like me with IMACA liceense and ASE AC certification CANT work on AC systems without the PROPER tools.
the proper tools arent those cheap "recharge kits" you find at most auto parts stores. its a $10,000 piece of equipment that you cant afford to own yourself.
AC work is best taken to somebody with the tools where it can be done RIGHT the 1st time.
