How could I answer a question, be "awarded" 3 points for answering, and then be told the answer had been?
removed?? That just happened only moments ago. That suggests to me a level of incompetency on the part of Yahoo that I had already suspected long ago. Your help in understanding this quagmire would be appreciated.

My mistake here in my question: I meant to say that the QUESTION had been removed.

Every so often YA give 3 points for answering the Q instead of the usual 2.I don't know why. Your answer would have been reported by another user, that is how it works here.If yo think it wasn't illegal, appeal it when you get the violation email.
No one from Yahoo is even on this site. You get 2 points automatically for answering ( probably one for visiting today). Its not awarded..its part of the programming. And then the answer gets reported for a violation ( by other users) and is automatically removed after one report ( on an answer).
Well you either got your 1 point for visiting or 1 point for a thumbs up on a best answer at the same time you got 2 points for answering the question, then the question you answered got deleted. That is not incompetence it is simple math.
