Hey guys i would really appreciate some suggestions loosely based on this. I love sad sounding british rock songs, Whatever by oasis, cornerstone by arctic monkeys, no surprises by radiohead, lost cause by beck. Sorry for the lack of description, im looking for simply sad british rock songs. thanks for your help everyone, it is much appreciated.

depends if you want sad lyrics, or just meloncholic music
dark roman wine-snow patrol is very meloncholic, but its actually a positive song
where as editors - smokers outside the hospital doors is a very upbeat song, but lyrically seems sad

tho i have to say i think its much more melancholic when eva cassiday sings it, its literally haunting when she does it, it turns into something else

Keane is a great band for music like this...Everybody's Changing, Bedshaped, We Might As Well Be Strangers
The Smiths too...most of their songs are sad.
