no it is not necessary to have ps 1 cd

first you need psx bios
it is necessary and very important thing

download your favourite game

and then extract it
it will be in .bin or in .cue files

for example if your downloading crash bandicoot it will be as
crash bandicoot.cue or crash bandicoot.bin

fpse supports .cue , .bin , .iso , .img files
now copy the downloaded GAME and the PSX BIOS to your phone using data cable - usb port

have the bios and roms in the same folders ( rom means the game )

now open your fpse on your android
it will read the games that you have copied

locate the bios and open your games

hope it works

but if you have ps1 cd ,
make iso out of your cd and copy it to your phone
and open it ( dont forget to copy bios also )
