I actually got a free trial of this software through BzzAgent. I have never used it until recently, after I installed it, there were 3 infected files it found that Microsoft Security Essentials missed. The newer and much improved interface is designed to be installed and forgotten about. They use the cloud for virus protection as well. The program comes with Parental controls, System tuner, Secure erase, Data theft prevention, Trend micro vault, and Rescue disk. Now, I will pick the best answer of the person that does some research from the web and post your updated thoughts based on facts and not based on another software! :P

I liked trend micros pc-cillin 2000
and i semi liked their internet security suite 2005

but to be honest over time & their fingers reaching into zone labs products i think trend lost the plot & many users lost interested & got shafted with big pattern files that take forever to download

trends problem is they have way to many products to take care of

i remember when they were Integrated into Fix-It Utilities, another company that did well.. then sold out & their product vanished

also a virus killer is only as good as its default settings
ide recommend Microsoft Security Essentials (for legit windows users)
and ide recommend Panda Cloud for those that arnt

Aleast with Cloud technology it does help unknown files get inspected rather than trends answer to send the file in a compressed archive with the password virus (like most users can do any of that) sadly cloud is the way to help the world go around ¯\(º_o)/¯
