I have been attacked by iHAStarter.exe. This can make it difficult to get online. Can you help?

Turning the modem off for a while and then turning it back on helps. But it's just a temporary solution to a more permanent problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You need to get rid of it and clean up anything it damaged. I would search for the name of the file. You have the advantage of knowing the name. Start reading about it and how to rid yourself of it. I have used this process dozens of times when I was attacked by something that none of my security software could fix. So far I have been successful, I have found that for every threat there is some guy with the answer. Oh, BTW so far I have done it without spending a dime.
