Need help with Android gingerbread 2.3.3 update on my LG OPTIMUS S CELL PHONE?

I just had a software update on my LG OPTIMUS S to GINGERBREAD 2.3.3. Since then i no longer have auto-complete or quick fix. Its like my phone doesnt have a dictionary. It shows options for words in my contacts but not like it was. How do i fix it? And i have made sure all the settings were rightt, and had my phone looked at by sprint and have bad no help :(

I am in the same situation with the auto correct on mine however you all need to understand sprint did not make this update it was LG. they are working with LG on the fix. also for those that complain of other issues i suggest you take it to a service center. mine has no issues with anything outside the auto correct. i worked a 10 hour shift using my phone a fairly good bit as my job requires and had over 20 percent battery when i got home. most issues are caused by programs downloaded to the device and a proper tech can help you figure this out.

Yes, I have noticed that problem too and I really dislike this gingerbread update. It seems like more of a downgrade then an update, I hate these black backgrounds and notification bar. Also, as someone before me stated, my LG Optimus S only lasts 5-6 hours now, which is extremely annoying and inconvenient.

I just got my update this morning on my LG optimus. I enjoy the task bar. I dont use auto complete, so I dont have an answer to that for you. But I give this upgrade a thumbs up

I just called into sprint about this and they say that they are working on it but don't have an ETA or anything. Also I don't know about anyone else but my phone was extremely laggy, would sometimes freeze, and some applications were being forced closed, I was able to resolve this (so far at least) by calling customer service.
