Is the SIM card for the iPhone 4 the same as the one for the iPhone 3GS?

Is the sim card for the iPhone 4 the same as the one for the iPhone 3GS except it's just a little smaller? Can you cut the sim card of an iPhone 3GS and make it small enough to fit it into the iPhone 4?
