How do you get the Nocturne of Shadow in OoT?

So I own the new 3DS OoT ver., and I'm wondering if by any chance if it's any different from the original? I keep looking up walkthroughs, and every one says that you get it after you beat the Water Temple. Well...I beat the Water Temple, and no matter what I do, I can't figure out how to get it.. I've gone to Kakariko Village, but no well cutscene with Sheik appeared.
Any help?

I have beaten the game many times and from what I remember, you should try to beat every other temple and then return to Kakariko Village and the cut scene should appear.
