promote carpet installation to carpet cleaners (subcontract?)
I have been repairing and installing carpet for twenty years. I am finally going out on my own. I know that carpet cleaning companies sometimes work together. They subcontract work to carpet installers or suggest them and receiving kick backs. I am not sure exactly how it is done. I am interested on sending flyers to these carpet cleaning companies advertising my services. I know I can beat anyones prices. I just don't know what to say in my flyer.
So does anybody in the carpet cleaning business help me out with this? Give me some advice please.
Thanks

I don't think fliers are going to be the way to go.
Face to Face is going to be your best option, and cold calling to set up appointments.
if you have the tools for carpet installs you can also market carpet stretching as a service. I run across carpet all the time that just needs to be stretched.
If it were me I would start with a cold call asking if they do carpet stretching, if they yes, move on to the next cleaner. then if there is an office I would bring by some donuts for the cleaners and ask to talk to the owner. if they don't have a main office it might just be a one man operation, in which case I would try to talk with him on the phone about what services you might be able to provide to his customers at a discount. or if you want to be a subcontractor tell them what you would charge them, and say that they could charge the customer 10% more and it would still be a great deal for them.
Great idea, if you just contact other cleaning firms and let them know what you do, even if they do some repairs, they may still call you if they have a difficult repair or just get too busy to take care of everything. Many of them just do not do repairs and if you develop the trust from them, they will usually be glad to refer you.
