So, what do all the camera experts think on the new 1DX?

How about the $6800 price point? For me? that is steep and I'd be selling 3 cameras to put myself into it. Definitely something to consider, but then again the features packed into it definitely make it worth the $. I know I want out of the 5D2 at the very least. 
For video how about the new 29.9  minute limit? That is actually USEABLE! Hopefully that will carry over to the new 5D3 when it comes out (soon???) I have never used the video on my cameras, but it definitely would change a lot of things for those that do.

The new sensor technology has me excited. I really am anxious to see the high ISO testing and how it performs. 
The focus system? now that has me hooked. 

I think for me personally it means waiting until the next 5D is announced and seeing how it sizes up to this. If it just doesn't cut it (which to me the 5d2 doesn't cut it when compared to the 1D III and IV or the 7D-or Nikon's comparable bodies) then I'll be selling the 5d2, the 1d3 and the 50D and buying a new 1Dx. Of course I'll be throwing in all of my pennies and a couple of children to get there, but it might just be worth it.

It's what I expected from a flagship camera. The ethernet port came as a surprise. Would love to see some high iso samples.

I love everything about it, except the price of course.

18MP + FF? Something great must have happened at Canon, I hope this truly will be a ISO beast. 12fps is more than enough for me, 8 on 7D is perfect, but more seriously can't hurt.

Native max 51k ISO is just wonderful, and considering the 5D MK II with 3 years older technology and slightly bigger pixels is already good, this will be amazing.

Video limit and creating another file when at 4GB - very well done Canon.

I just can't see how this will compete with 3 Nikon D4 models. I'm sure there will either be a new line soon, or Canon will be releasing 1DX's quickly.

Couldn't care less about the video but, I'm really interested in high-iso image quality because for the most part, I shoot architecture, parties/weddings and sports semi-professionally and then there's my personal stuff.  Like you, I'm interested in seeing what happens with the next 5D...Do they roll this same 18mp sensor into it and give us a full-frame 7D?  If so, that would be my ideal camera and I'd gladly dump my 5DmkII to get one.  As it stands, I'm debating the idea of dumping my 5DmkII for the 1D X if it is available before 5D's replacement hits the market.

It looks great for sports or action, but I shoot landscapes making it overkill for me. Doesn't matter how many auto focus points it has... I almost always use manual focus. I'll stick with my 5D2.

Yep, the right tool for the right job is important.  I stopped shooting HS Basketball last year, and no longer needed the high FPS of my 40D.  I now do landscape exclusively, making the 5D2 perfect for what I do.  I haven't even checked to see if my 5D2 works in burst mode.  FPS means nothing in landscape photography.

I"m not a camera expert, though I owned many, promised. So I guess is this,
a completely revolutionized EOS-1D series camera.
I think the main feature of this camera is allowing multiple digital exposures, what is really an exception in any photographer work. Its body is proudly reinforced, what I think it's something to be praised. About its three brains, as I answered before some day, I prefer to use my own one at the time of taking photographs. Its dimensions and weight don't come in your link but it seems some 
tough. Its price is really beautiful, so, as sailors say, when in doubt go out
