Will boxing training class get me in the best shape of my life?

I have never boxed before but have increasingly became more interesting in boxing. I am overweight...5'8 and 225 pounds. 3 years ago I lost weight and got down to 167 with the help of a personal trainer from bally's total fitness. I kept it off for 2 and half years. But within 6 months I gained all my weight back as I stop exercising and ate whatever and whenever I wanted. Now I want to get back in shape, lose about 65 pounds, get very fit and toned. Will boxing/crosstraining classes help me? Thanks!

Roadwork is your responsibility and if not still in school and even if you are it's either early morning or evening that you should get in your 2-3 miles per at least 4 days per week. Either that or the treadmill, fat burning programs, which mean distance over cardio. I too had a weight problemt , but bought a health strider treadmill machine and eventually got up to 1 hour fat burning program and did that regliously everyday. Got easier everyday and I lost 75 . When you stop all exercise/eating right, yes, you're going to put it all back on. Work on the conditioning both at home and at the classes. good luck.

Boxing training is the training method that boxers use in order to get more fit for their sport. This training method is often cited by medical doctors, boxing trainers, and writers as one of the most spartan forms of sports training.
