Questions about the TV show Hey Dude?

Lately i have been getting into the show Hey Dude ever since the return of old Nickolodeon shows on re run on teenick and have a couple of questions about the show. First, why is it called "Hey Dude" when the show is on a ranch? secondly, do Ted and Brad ever get together in the series, it seems they like eachother and the show is leaning towards them being together. thanks for your help

There hasnt been a real explanation for why the show is called "Hey Dude". Brad and Ted never formally got together but it is implied that they liked eachother. They kissed at the end of the episode "Date Nite" just before Ted leaves for summer school.
