If Kellen Moore wins out he will have 51 wins, is that a record that will never be broken?
We are talking a 12.75 wins per season as a QB. Even if the season turns into a disaster (Boise losses to TCU, SDSU and losses its bowl) he will still be at 48 wins.
Few records are considered unbreakable in sports Wayne Gretzky's 212, Cal Ripkens 2,632 played straight, ETC.

Unless the FBS has a playoff, or its regular season is extended by 2 games, if Kellen Moore and Boise State win out, I believe that Moore's record of 51 wins an FBS starting quarterback will never be broken.
It could only happen for someone in a league like the WAC who plays every game starting freshman year and never loses. It would help if they were in a conference with a championship game, thats 4 extra potential games. 14 wins a year for 4 years would be 56, so I guess they could afford to lose 3 or 4 over 4 years, so it is very slimly possible.
The only way I could see it is a QB starting since his freshman season and only losing once during his career. And that's assuming he doesn't go to the NFL early. It might never be broken
