A friend of my Sister's repaired this pc and did not reinstall Windows Media Player. I cannot play or burn or store any CDs or DVDs now. I am not too smart when it comes to computers. I went on Microsoft to look up Media Players but all I could find were those I would have to pay for.

There should be a version of windows media player on your pc still, as it is part of windows. When I type download windows media player into google there are several sites, mainly part of Microsoft, which seem willing to give windows media player away, so I'm wondering if you've tried that.

I believe you can get "media player classic" for free, google it. It isn't the latest version but it works (some people think this was actually the best version)
