If humans evolved from primates, does that mean Africans are the least evolved?

I don't mean to sound racist, but it would make sense wouldn't it? Many Africans facial features are much more similar also to that of the gorillas. So is that because, they were the first, in the evolution cycle to reach the status of human? And the others came after?

No I'm not racist, but I had to ask this question cause it's been eating away at my conscious and I've been feeling guilty for thinking it.

Scientists believe homo sapien first evolved in Africa, & they spread out from there. Changes in facial features & skin color took place due to change in environment. It's not that they're less evolved, it's just due to the fact their environment never changed, they didn't have too. It's kinda like the different features bears have. They look the same, but have minute differences depending on where they're native to.

Generally those that find 'looks like gorilla" have a fair amount of prejudice. As gorillas are fairly distance from humans quite a jump that has to be made to 'looks like"

As for environment impacting skin color and other characteristics that people term 'race" We could drop you off on the equator and given a short evolutionary time your descendants would be called 'black" In Australia, Northern Europeans were transported to the tropics. Today they have the highest skin cancer rate. In not too long a time future Australian will be much darker then today.

Finally, we're all at least 50th cousins. The DNA links that make up the characteristics people call 'race' are only a few hundred out of millions. In short better be careful who you are calling a gorrila. You might look in a mirror
