People who have experience in breeding Mexican black king snakes. ?

I know that MBK are known for having a high incidence of cannibalism. When breeding this species of snake together, what precausions can be taken to make sure the snakes are safe?
I know with balls, you can leave them together in the same enclosure for a couple days when breeding. Is this the same with MBK's? How much cause for concern is there really?
Any tips from people who have successfully bred these snakes or have a lot of experience in the area. Thanks!

I've bred them as well as several other species of king snakes and have not had a problem. Just make sure the female is well fed. The male will not care about eating when he smells the females pheromones. King snakes are extremely easy to breed and I've left adults together over night on may occasions. I do highly recommend a cool down period during the winter to stimulate breeding.

He specializes in mexicans, and the colour morphs. Not so much the mexican blacks, but some similar species. Also, if you haven't already, check out and join iherp, there are allot out people on there with experience breeding just about everything.

There's a pretty decent collection of people who own mexican blacks there.
