Would you consider a mistake to change the style and menu of a restaurant?
I was told if a product is not self explanatory you will have a hard time selling it, i believe i made that mistake, I would like your opinion.

Yes, people would like to know what they're going to order, and they don't always want to be bothered to ask the waiter, or they don't want to seem ignorant.

Ask yourself some questions first!!!! Who's restaurant is it?! Are you cooking what YOU want or what THEY want.(snakes and sparklers!) what are you doing wrong? Are you selling Italian food in the wrong part of town or even in the wrong building! Italian food doesn't sell good in a giant Asian looking building! Is your cost too high? Who is it that is telling you this infomation? If you want to change your menu, by all means do. But you have to realize your chance of even more loss by doing so. Also, I would cost things out before hand to ensure a positive cost control on your products. Look at a lot of different perveiors. You can get good deals if you stay cool. Most of all just relax and don't make harsh or rash choices. Some of the worst choices I've made weren't thought through much, if at all. I would sell Italian. Chix marsala is sooo good, and who can say no to Italian food. It's good because Italian food is easy to use in a variety of ways!! Stay strong!! Best answer? Thanks. Best of luck. Were all alittle diffrent in the kitchen!!

Depends on the type of restaurant, but in general I'm annoyed at any restaurant which gives it's dishes names and then provides no description. It's annoying to have to quiz the waitress for ten minutes.
If you're going to sell Moon Over My Hammy, you better explain what it is.
It isn't thirty years ago, Printing is cheap. So changing a menu is no big deal.

You really have nothing to lose changing an item, or correcting it in a manner more appeasing to the likes of your customers. Go for it. =)
Best of luck with your business!

If it's not working the way you have it set up now, by all means, change it. You have nothing to lose.
