I just set up a home wireless network. The network has two computers on it, my desktop pc and my laptop.?

The desktop has a printer connected to it (not wirelessly, using traditional cables). My question is, can I send documents from my laptop thru the wireless network to that printer?

On the PC with the printer connected:
Go to Control Panel > Printers. Right click the Printer, choose Properties. On the Sharing tab, enable Sharing.

On the Other PC:
Go to Start > Run, type //computername (the name of the computer with the printer). A window will open showing all shared resources. Double click the printer to install it.

It is now an available printer on this computer, and can print as long as the "host" computer is on.

as long as the printer is a network printer for example it plugged in either by wireless or an ethernet cable then yes you can set it up and the laptops can print to it.

Ok, heres a quick tut on how to set up printer sharing on your home or office network.

If your computer is running XP:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb457001.aspx

And if your computer is running Vista/7:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Share-a-printer

Where "Your computer" is the one with the printer attached to it.

Hope I helped.

Yes but the printer has to be able to support wifi supported devices. Usually it will tell you on the packaging or have a button.

it's called document sharing, look up the help file on Windows and it will set it up for you, you can also share peripherals like printers ect.
