which heater is more efficient , oil filled, infrared (edenpure, heatsurge etc.?

Which heater can I use to heat a small room that will heat comfortably that uses the least amount of electricity? "Oil filled radiator" and Infrared heater like Edenpure or Heatsure? or something else
what about a "heat pump" tell me what you know, and please provide a source of info.

Electrical energy produces 3.41 BTU's per watt, no more, no less. It makes no difference in which manner the heat is produced, it's still the same. You can buy the 1500 watt $19.99 Walmart special or you can buy the 1500 watt $399.00 heater in the 30 minute infomercial seen on TV. You'll get the same amount of heat from both heaters. Safety, convenience and portability are different considerations.
