I am finding it so hard to comprehend that this actually happened. I have watched many videos on interviews with the general public about why so many people just walked by and they are saying the government is focused on economic and not morality.

HOW in God's name or if you choose in the name of common decency and humanity can this happen and why would you blame the government and not Your own heart?

thank goodness she was moved out of harms way, but can the entire population of China be so ill-informed on how to handle a trauma or serious injury that they treat her like a broken doll. I have to wonder how much damage that caused along with being picked up, tossed about and carried off.
I just don't understand any of it.

The parents were working a few feet away in their hardware shop

The little girl did die on October 21, 2011

Sounds like the parents weren't paying attention.

That is soooo sad...I had to share it on Facebook. The sad part was that he knew he hit the kid, then he runs over her again even slower? Then all those people and motorcyclists just go around her? Thank goodness for that one lady that ran over to her. I just wonder if that was a really bad part of the neighborhood where stuff like that happens all the time?

Also, I agree with the bystander effect. It also has a lot to do with conformity.

It happened because of the bystander effect and at first it doesn't seem real. and yes being handled the way she was by the only wellmeaning person, really a heroine, could have inadvertedly added to her injuries An ambulance crew should have worked on her in situ.

I think it's disgusting and those people who walked by should be ashamed of themselves. Everyone is too "busy" in their own life to call am ambulance while a girl is dying, because they are all assuming someone else will do it.

Sad, but I'd be more concerned with the location of the parents. Where are they while their child is being ran over in the street?
