I have a jammed cd inside, i've tried every other option aside from opening the iBook up. If i take of the bottom case and heat plate, will i be able to get to the disc drive area? and get the disc out?

Yes and no. You'd be able to access the CD drive but odds are that won't help you get the CD out. Your best bet is to go to the Apple website, click on the support section and find help for the stuck CD. There's about 5 different ways to get it out.

Not without also removing the top case and the top plate as well. iBooks are awful to disassemble. Expect several dozen screws by the time you get to it.
