Why do people vote themselves as the best answer when they totally ignore the context of a post?

I posted a question about cleaning linoleum floors in a rented house. The answer that was picked ignored every instance on helping me find a cleaning solution, She also ignored the fact that if I put down tiles cheap or not as I stated I would have to pay to have them done professionally which also means pay to have them removed and the floor refinished incurring what ever cost the landlord decides is chargeable.

She did not even address the cleaning issue and I am sure she voted herself as the winner. Why is this community not helping others but helping themselves to votes only?

With her idea I could land myself in a pickle as I found out that the landlord does not return rental deposits no matter what you do he bitches about it. I was told that all improvements must be professionally done, Meaning I need to submit a bill from a contractor? I am wondering if the woman cannot read pr simply ignores facts as they do not apply to her.

Here is a link to the question please observe how insensitive this person is to what I asked and I am sure with this attitude she would always be in trouble. What I dislike is the brazen way she voted herself as the winner. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20111027114613AAX7e1c

I forgot to add that her network is private. This is so funny if you have opinions can some one criticize you. You have to love the self serving attitude of some people. They need to grow up and learn they are not always right and be open and allow criticism wanted or unwanted its the only way they will grow.

You can't vote for yourself, the software won't let you.
