Christians: What are some of the many ways that God's grace can be sufficient for us when we face ongoing trials like the Apostle Paul did?

2 Corinthians 12:8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

What are some of the ways that God's grace is manifested in our lives to help us to endure trials when we wish they would just go away?

re: None of that makes much sense to me mate

Like God could bring Christian friends around you or He could encourage you in other ways like growing closer to Him or bringing about something that you've wanted to happen that didn't directly involve the trial you are going through. Things like that.

I believe the single most important thing to remember when experiencing multiple trials, depression or feelings of guilt, hopelessness or worthlessness,is that God's ultimate desire toward His own,is for good and that He has not forgotten, will forget nor will abandon those who are called according to His purposes...God builds character and strength when we are at our lowest but always shows up,before the roof caves in and lifts us out...

I've personally noted that when I'm feeling very low, that I'm not making a difference or not really needed,is when a friend or family member unexpectedly e-mails or calls...God doesn't often appear in person with a word of encouragement but certainly does speak both through the many membered Body of Christ or through a variety of avenues to comfort, bring encouragement or to rescue one who is desperately in need of grace...None of us are an island unto ourselves, are self-sufficent or have "arrived" and not in need of our brothers and sisters in Christ...

1.Being convinced that God is faithful and is not unaffected nor oblivious to our situation
2.God uses His own,to encourage His own...The voice of God,is generally not audible, yet is often loud and clear..
3.Embracing whatever you are experiencing,as an opportunity for positive spiritual growth in character and strength..

Though observance of God's dispensing of grace is often commonly observed(similar experiences),God also provides unique evidences of grace on the personal level...Things that may lift me up,may be insignificant to others yet the mark of God was evident..He was there,at a point that made sense to me personally....

they don't have self assurance God does that, they suspect God made us, gave us unfastened will, and it relatively is that rattling straightforward. i'm Atheist, yet heavily, the Atheist community desires to relatively study the finished bible earlier coming onto web content and complaining approximately it. and despite while you're actually not a christian, the Buddha, Jesus, and Allah morals are great morals to fallow. not the possessing slaves, killing homosexuals, and killing non believers, however the do not kill, rape, thieve, or have intercourse with yet another persons significant different. And it relatively is obtrusive all faith contradicts itself, besides as an all powerful being. even though it would not recommend human beings could desire to could desire to constantly shelter themselves to adult adult males such as you. and that i do comprehend the place you're coming from. i've got reported worse issues, i exploit to circulate onto Myspace communities and basically rag on the, and get further and extra offended each time they gave me the "A human can not comprehend how God works" answer. by using fact it relatively is a stupid answer, yet have confidence me in this. it relatively is a lot much less confusing to easily tell your self "those persons are stupid, and misinform", than basically go away it at that. by using fact in case you take a seat around and ask issues like "Why do good human beings die", "Why would not God help the destructive", "How can God enable all this take place", "Why did God create evil" ect, than you are going to easily be depressing your finished existence. visit youtube, and look at TheAmazingAtheist. he's extraordinary, and you will possibly appreciate his video clips.

The Lord never puts more on you than you can bear. I think that the reason that the Lord doesn't respond to prayers like Paul's is because it makes us appreciate things more. Many times in the bible it says that the weak shall be made strong and the strong shall be made weak. A weak man would appreciate the value of strength much more than someone who has been strong all of their life.

There was one point in my life that I was dating a great Christian girl that I had no doubt I wanted to marry. Then one day I found out she had cheated on me and it caught me completely off guard. I prayed to God many times that He would give her back to me but that prayer was never answered. At the time I didn't understand why God would let me suffer so when I had done nothing but be good to her. Now I have a woman who is even better and I never could have imagined how happy I could be with someone. I appreciate her all the more because of that past experience.

Sometimes God doesn't answer your prayers the way you want them to be answered because His will is by far greater than yours. He didn't answer my prayer at the time because His will was for me to meet someone that was better for me. Our greatest appreciation comes from unanswered prayers.

I would bet that Paul could care less about his past infirmities now that he is in a perfect spiritual body in heaven

You are correct in that when you are in need of support from other Christians, God will present them before you for you to enjoy and fellowship...But something more notable : The more time and effort and work you put into your relationship in sincerity and commitment with God, the more you will get out of life...There is no end to the happiness and pleasure you will receive from God for the work you are putting in right now...
One thing I discovered that took me many years to find...I guess I really didn't understand what the "elders" of the community were conveying or God wasn't ready for me to discover it IS that the more time you put into your relationship with God by giving regular thanks and praise and conversation throughout the day, the more you will see your life blossom into what you've been searching for here and elsewhere.. It's not something you can fake or fool God with...He knows...right?

I'm getting older and I'm facing one weird physical malady after another. I am a single woman, who works and supports herself. Not only do I have very little money, I have a whole lot of debt. I cling to this verse and live day by day trusting the Lord to sustain me.
