I am a mechanic and wash my own,I need to step up and do my wifes.I need to know if Tide is good.I use nothing like Downey.Should I use it on her clothes?I have to pick up her underwear before the dryer stops...keep checking..How do I fold her panties and bras?I am doing my best to keep on impressing my wife..Wait....she gonna say "who do you do this for?"I am just screwed.Happy for girl in input ,please.My wife had a heart attack and I have to care for her.Any answers are welcomed.

If she had a heart attack why would she question your motives for helping with the laundry?

Wash all of her undergarment type things on the gentle cycle in cold water, don't use Downy. Hang bras to dry. Don't worry about folding them, just stack them.

Then typically, whites stay with whites and colors with colors. So separate her clothes by color. Then ASK her "Is there anything that shouldn't be washed or put in the dryer?" Because women KNOW which of their things might get ruined. 

Keep things tidy and pick up after yourself. Keep the kitchen clean.
