Potato Soup what kind of sandwich should I serve with it?
I am making my Olive Garden inspired potato soup this weekend for a couple of friends and am not sure what kind of sandwich would be bomb with it :) I was thinking Roast Beef Provolone with grilled red onions and a sweet onion dressing but would like some more suggestions. Thanks bunches

A blt would be good because bacon is good with potato. But I would do a ham sandwich with swiss cheese, and pickled red onions to offset the heaviness of the soup. Just slice your onions real thin and throw them in boiling water for like 30 seconds then take them out and put them in your favorite super cold vinegar for a couple minutes.
I serve potato soup with a grilled ham and cheese sandwich. I use garlic butter on the bread. I'd serve an apple crisp for desert later.
Potato soup also goes well with an oven toasted open faced salmon salad, tomato and cheese on toast. I put this on half of an English muffin or those sandwich rounds.
nicely for another thought for food made with soup is blend tomato soup with a tablespoon of melted butter and pour over purple meat chops advert bake. is going nicely with pasta and salad. yet another that we do in lots of circumstances with cream of mushroom soup is to fry steaks cooked in the undilluted soup. of direction grilled cheese is going nicely with soup, yet BLT's flow nicely with veggie soup and so do any purple meat sandwichs. make an open face sandwich (turkey or purple meat sandwich lined in brown gravy) and that they are very stable with potato soup. if i knew possibly which styles of soup you had i'd be waiting to grant greater concepts as to what food you could make out of the soup rather of with the soup. wish this facilitates some!
That sandwich sounds yummy. If you're keeping with the olive garden theme, you might consider panini style sandwiches. I love roasted red pepper, mozzarella, and arugula paninis, or turkey, green chili, and provolone. Yummers!
