My PC has gotten slow and jerky, and I keep getting "a script has stopped running" errors. Any solutions?

I'm using Vista and Firefox with Mcafee security.

Well...Try this first. Run full scans with these two programs, and email me if this doesn't do it.

You may have a virus. You will need to reinstall the OS, get all your goodies off first or you will lose them. If you take your machine to a shop, tell them to save your goodies, and I will bet new York to a brick you have a useless free AV
