My suggestion is to call a locksmith and carry a spare key in the future.

Your car should have come with two sets of keys other than that tow trucks Lock smiths and police departments some time can unlock your car. At the Nissan dealership where I work I unlock at least one car a week I go in thru the right side door window frame with a wedge and long 1/8" unlocking pole with 90 degree hook at the end with a soft vinyl cap not to scratch the interior. Use the other key to unlock the door. You can't lock an Intelligent Key in the car unless you do it from outside of the car with the other key.

The system won't allow you to otherwise lock the key in the car. If you leave the key in the car and try to lock the door by any other means than using the other key from outside of the car, it will just unlock itself in a few seconds....Show more

Yes make nisssan give you three sets of keys like they used too....we have owned nissans since 2001 and they always gave us three sets of keys until we bought a new nissan last july 2014....just for everyones info the car will lock with the key in it......Show more

The police will usually unlock it if a child or pet is locked in the car. If all else fails I know of a great locksmith service - Car Locksmith & they do have a 24 hr service. Good luck...Show more
